Ok - so I have not been too great about updating our blog, but with a 16 month old, time is very limited! It's still so surreal that we have been a family for almost 5 weeks! Rylan just turned 16 months and seems like she changes every day! We had a great Christmas! It seemed like it flew by so quick though. Rylan went to Church for the first time on Christmas Eve and did great! She loved all the singing and she stayed put for the most part but towards the end, she wanted to touch everyone around us and play peek a boo with them.
Frank just went back to work, I am thankful that he was able to take off a month for Rylan and me. It has helped so much to have both of us home with her. She is still doing great. Lots of smiles and laughs. She can sign "more" and "all done". I have heard her say "all done" twice and hold her bowl up (I know, genius right!). She can say "woof woof" when you say "doggy - woof woof". She is just about walking. She can go from room to room but will still have the occasional fall. If you say feet for any reason, she holds up her foot (ha!). She can point to her nose, belly and teeth. She knows what soap is - she will say "pah, pah" and point to it when we are in the bath. She likes to wash herself and you too. We are working on "open" - I will say "open?" she will say "pen, pen" and hand you what she wants open. She thinks all her food is hot and she blows on it - this cracks me up. If I tell her to ssshhh and hold my finger to my lips, she does it too. She is a mess! She has a little stubborn side to her too. If she has something in her hand she shouldn't, she will struggle with me or put it behind her back and then when I get it, she will go "AAHH!" like she yelled at me (I know I shouldn't find this cute, but I do). She still doesn't like the hairbows....I can bride her with food for about 10 seconds and that's all I can get for a quick picture. She likes to be held, but she is so HEAVY! But its so sweet when she lays her head on your shoulder, makes the back pain all worth it. I really can't believe how well she is doing and picking up on things. I won't lie, it's a rough adjustment more for me getting use to being with her alone and diaper bags, car seats, inhaling my food before she wakes up or trying to feed her and me at the same time, trying to grocery shop and she wants to be held, trying to go to the bathroom! But it's all worth it! I love our little girl and love our family! We are truly blessed!
She is precious! Reminds me alot of my G!
